Upcoming Events and Plans:

Events listed below are tentative and provided as a "heads up" for what may be coming. Please save the dates. Invitations will be emailed to members when issued, and they will also be available here.

April 22, 2012 - (one week later than usual)

We're planning to meet at Buca di Beppo, a great Italian-style restaurant in Summerlin. (See the menu).

Your hosts will be Phyllis and David Selman (aprhost.bronxclub@xadar.com).

Our guest speaker will be celebrity radio host, "Dr. Daliah". Check out her show on KDWN, AM radio 720, Saturdays at 10 AM. If you're a night owl, she's also live at 11 PM M-F. Listen to past shows streaming on the Internet.

If you heard Dr. Daliah speak before, worry not, you won't be bored. She's a gifted speaker as well as a board-certified Family Practice doctor. No one knows what topics Dr. Daliah will cover this time, and she does take questions from the floor.

Plans are subject to change, so check back often for the latest info. Members, watch your email for invitations.

If you have an event idea and are willing to be a host, please contact us.

Save the dates. Watch your e-mail for more invitations!

Now You Can Use the EZ RSVP
Response Form to Reply to Invitations

So you hate emailing your response to a BCVV invitation?

We heard you. We came up with an easier way. Just fill in a simple form and we email your response to the invitation for you.

Here is how it works. Click "EZ RSVP Response" (link also above), fill in the form, then click the Respond button. A thank you message pops up showing that you responded. You're done!

Now there's no excuse for not responding to all BCVV invitations, whether or not you're coming!

Sorry, this doesn't work for BCVV Ladies Club invitations. See your Ladies Club invitation flier for response instructions.

A Call for Batters

The Bronx Club is looking for members to host events May - November 2012. Hosts are volunteers who plan and carry-out events.

We need your active participation if we're to continue having meetings with interesting guests and great venues every month.

We have no membership dues. In lieu of dues, every member has an obligation to host an event every two years. You can team up with four* other members to share the work. Everyone on your team gets credit.

Many of the same people have been stepping up to the plate month after month, and they are tired of pinch hitting for those who don't. If you haven't had your turn at bat, then you're on deck. If we can't get enough batters, we'll need to forfeit some meetings.

Everyone has an idea for a home-run event. Some of you have yet to step up to the plate. If you're ready to take your turn at bat, tell us about your idea. We can coach you, but it's mostly up to you, along with your team, to score a hit.

Play ball!

-Leslie and Susan

*Recommended maximum host group size is 4. If you need a bigger group, contact us.
